After surfing most of my life, loving shortboard, longboard and SUP surfing, I discovered my latest passions are efoiling, unpowered pronefoil surfing, SUPfoil and Wingfoil. I love helping others experience fun and fulfilment, and have a knack for teaching people things that involve a level of internal breakthrough, or letting go into an experience, without making anything a big deal. Many folk don’t see themselves as surfers, and naturally can easily block the possibility of efoiling. I love helping folk surprise themselves. Fliteboarding can be a significant experience for so many.

In 2019, I first saw an efoil (I didn’t know what it was other than I was amazed) weaving in near silence through moored boats in the still waters of Pumicestone Passage at Caloundra while I was enjoying a leisurely walk with my wife. It was literally a jaw drop moment – I had never seen anything like it. I turned to my wife and said ‘I want one’ and of course she laughed it off.
For over 3 years, I have provided instruction to many hundreds of first time riders. Some became buyers of their own boards, many became very good friends and I can confidently say that almost every single one finished their experience with a huge smile on their faces! After nearly 40 years of corporate life in banking and risk management software activities, it was an easy decision to create an opportunity to bring the joy and fun of efoiling to Port Macquarie.
